C. P. Radhakrishnan is a seasoned Indian politician currently serving
as the 24th Governor of Maharashtra since 31 July 2024. His responsibilities include serving
as the Chancellor of state universities in Maharashtra, such as Gondwana University. Before
this, he was the Governor of Jharkhand from February 2023 to July 2024 and also held
additional charges as the Governor of Telangana and the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry
between March 2024 and July 2024.
Radhakrishnan's political journey has been remarkable, with two terms as a Member of Parliament from Coimbatore and a prominent role as the former state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Tamil Nadu. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree from VOC College, Madurai University, reflecting his solid educational foundation.
